Empowering Youth to Explore the Role of International Diplomacy in Shaping Global Climate Policies
By the end of the lecture, students were equipped with the knowledge and skills to:
- Research how different countries participated in previous COP convenings
- Analyze outcomes and common priorities in climate change negotiations
- Identify patterns and constraints in climate change adaptation from various country contexts
This session in collaboration with UNITAR, Escola Sesi de Referência de Londrina and CIFAL Curitiba provides a unique opportunity for youth to explore the role of international diplomacy in shaping global climate policies and driving positive change. Through experience sharing, we aim to empower students with the knowledge and skills for negotiation and collaboration in multilateral settings.
— Mr. Hugo Molina, Executive Director, CIFAL Curitiba, Brazil
The lecture and experience sharing contributed to the students’ ongoing civic education in climate change adaptation solutions. In collaboration with CIFAL Curitiba, UNITAR is proud to support youth engagement in critical discussions on climate change, linking their local knowledge with global solutions.
